Anime #1
An introduction to my Anime watching journey. You can expect a brief intro of the different animes that I watch in this post, like Demon Slayer, Spy X Family and Assassination Classroom.
My 'Otaku' background
Which anime did I first watch? Why do I like anime?
π Ah, my anime journey begins with 'Maid Sama' β a charming introduction to the world of anime! πΈ Despite its simple plot, the sparks of romance between Misaki and Usui resonated with the 10-year-old in me, paving the way for an endless anime expedition.
From the heart-pounding battles of Demon Slayer and Attack on Titan to the emotional rollercoaster of Fruit Basket and the mind games in Death Note, the anime universe became my sanctuary of diverse tales. Spy x Family, Kakegurui, Haikyuu!!, Violet Evergarden β each series a unique gem, contributing to the kaleidoscope of my anime watchlist.
The magic of anime lies not just in the visual feast of impeccable drawing skills but also in the profound emotions conveyed by Japanese voice actors. Their ability to bring characters to life has made me laugh and cry countless times, adding an extra layer of depth to each storyline.
Take Kakegurui, for instance. Saori Hayami's portrayal of Yumeko Jabami's crazed excitement towards gambling is nothing short of phenomenal. Her interactions with characters like Kirari Momobami and Mary Saotame add layers of intrigue and make every rewatch an enchanting experience.
As for a favorite anime? Well, the beauty of anime lies in its diversity. Instead of a singular favorite, I find myself revisiting multiple series, each time discovering something new and embracing the unique essence of different genres. It's not about having one favorite; it's about cherishing the vast tapestry of stories that anime weaves. Join me as I continue this animated adventure, exploring new worlds and relishing the gems that make anime an ever-enchanting escape. ππ¬
My Anime Watchlist
Wakaka, this is the compilation of 10 Animes that I have watched and some thoughts
- Demon Slayer:
Watched the anime, and opted for the audio version of the manga on YouTube. Love the action part done by Ufotable art. I think most people love the ten Hashiras more than the Tanjirou, at least that's me...
- Haikyuu!!
Watched the anime, and opted for the audio version of the manga on YouTube. The volleyball training and competitions are so simple yet filled with charm of resilient and innocence of sport. Absolutely love the vibrant energy of Hinata and tsundere Kageyama :>
- Spy X Family
Watched the anime, and opted for the audio version of the manga on YouTube for latest updates. Anya is such a smart, brave yet stupid little girl, and her voice actor is insanely good in giving out all those meme child voices. Loid is just a dream guy with big brain, and Yor, she's a perfect embodiment of violence and innocence πͺπ
- Horimiya
Watched the anime, never read the manga, but I adore the soothing animation of daily lives and romance between Hori and Miyamura. Witnessing Miyamura gradually rebuild his confidence and friendships as Hori enters his life is truly amazing. πΈπΈ
- Attack On Titan
Watched the anime and opted for the audio version of the manga on YouTube (zero patience for anime updates). The storyline and plot-building in Attack on Titan are nothing short of epic. However, the ending of this 11-year series left me somewhat underwhelmed. Regardless, the power and animations of ALL THE TITANS still have my admiration. π€―π₯
- Assasination Classroom
Watched the anime, never read the manga, but I'm fascinated by how the character of Koro-sensei is portrayed β a yellow octopus creature with a unique backstory. Transformed from a human due to immoral experiments, he takes on the role of a teacher for the 'worst class.' The blend of humor, emotion, and the unexpected depth in the storyline captivated me, especially with his contagious 'nurufufufuhehe' laugh ππ
- Chainsaw Man
Watched the anime and chose the audio version of the manga on YouTube. A banger by MAPPA, despite being an accidental discovery one late night. Finished the 12 episodes in one go, and the manga too. Love how controlling Makima is, and the portrayal of different hierarchies of needs by Denji is so well done. ππ₯
PS: absolutely love the OP Kick Back by Kenshi Yonezu
- The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again
Watched the anime and read some of the manga chapters online. Big black neko who can tidy up your room, cook your meals and relieve you from hangover β¨π. I want one too!!!!!!
- The Apothecary Diaries
Just finished watching this anime few weeks ago (dated 8 January as I write this post). Maomao Maomao' s intelligence, talents and resourcefulness in this series is indeed attractive and her love of sake (Japanese alcohol) is comedic in the anime. Overall, this anime is about court politics, poisons, and power dynamics in which I like the plot in each episode where Maomao and Jinshi interacts as well as Maomao's intelligence in solving all mysteries.
PS: Sake!!!!
- Death Note
Ah, such a classic thriller anime. It's been a few years since I watched this anime. Light Yagami's descent into the dark realm of power, morality, and the consequences of playing god with the Death Note is captivating. The cat-and-mouse game between Light and the genius detective L adds a depth of suspense. L's death in the end marked the victory of Light, and the unforeseen plot twists prior to this are even more exhilarating. ππ Definitely worth watching!
Stay tuned for further anime updates
